Leave From Kadin And Indika, Arsjad Rasjid: So As Not To Mix TPN Affairs
Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Arsjad Rasjid stated his leave from his position at Kadin and also President Director (Managing Director) Indika Energy, following his appointment as Chairman of the National Winning Team (TPN) for presidential candidate (readpres) Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 presidential election.
Furthermore, Arsjad explained that this step was taken to uphold his committee in maintaining good neutrality and governance.
"I made this decision so as not to mix my organizational affairs in the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and my position in PT Indika Energy Tbk. During my tenure as Chairman of TPN for one of the Presidential Decrees," he said in an official statement, written Tuesday, September 26.
Arsjad said that his decision to support Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 presidential election was taken after consulting and getting the blessing of those around him.
He added, starting tomorrow, Wednesday, September 27, he has officially served as Chairman of TPN Ganjar Pranowo. He said the decision to enter politics was taken as a form of contribution to Indonesia's future.
"I want to ensure that the long-term agendas in the context of the economy and investment that have been promoted by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo and his predecessors can be carried out well," he said.

Regarding the position he left, Arsjad said that the Daily Task Force at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry would be regulated in accordance with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry's articles of association.
Meanwhile, continued Arsjad, the management at the coal mining company PT Indika Energy Tbk will be implemented through the company's articles of association.
"I hope we can continue to prioritize peace and national unity in order to create a conducive environment for development," he said.
