Prabowo's Prayer After Being Supported By Democrats Becomes A Presidential Candidate, Strongly Carry Out Tasks Until People Live A Happy Life

JAKARTA - Gerindra Party Chair Prabowo Subianto received support from the Democratic Party as a presidential candidate (readpres) in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.

This support was conveyed by the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) at the Rapimnas of the Democratic Party which was held at the JCC, Jakarta, Thursday, September 21.

"I can only pray to the Almighty so that I can be given the strength to be able to carry out the duties given to me, together with my brothers and sisters who will lead the upcoming government and lead the Indonesian nation," Prabowo said in his national speech.

Prabowo then revealed his dreams of becoming President of Indonesia. Namely, making people live happily in a safe, peaceful, fair and prosperous state.

"A nation that is truly independent is only free if this independence can provide prosperity and justice for all Indonesian people. This is the dream of all the founders of our nation, all of our presidents since President Soekarno, President Soeharto, president Habibie, President Abdurrahman Wahid, President Megawati, President SBY until now President Joko Widodo's leadership," explained Prabowo.

"The independence of a nation we all know can only mean if the people live in a happy state, the ideals of our ancestors are stated in the phrase 'toto tentrem kerto raharjo is rah rupah, you jinawi'kehendak and the desire of our people is to live in a safe, peaceful, just and prosperous state, enough food, just board and enough clothing," added the defense minister.

"Like the ideals of each country which are reflected in the sentence of foreign language liberty and the pursuit of happines, toyyibatun warrobun ghofur, that is the goal of all of us," said Prabowo again.

Prabowo also expressed his gratitude to the High Council of the Democratic Party Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and AHY as well as all levels of Democratic Party administrators and cadres who have officially joined the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) today. Together with the Gerindra Party, Golkar, PAN, PBB, Gelora, Garuda, Prima and PSI.

"Today we have an extraordinary boost, we have extraordinary strength, we have an extraordinary new spirit. With the president of SBY behind me, AHY's brother, Airlangga's brother and Zulhasan's brother, the chairman of the Indonesian Forward Coalition party, I feel, together we will be able to achieve our common goals," said Prabowo.
