Tikep Prosecutor's Office Names 2 Suspects For Local Government Capital Participation Funds, State Loss Of IDR 3 Billion
TERNATE - The Tidore Islands (Tikep) District Attorney, North Maluku has named two suspects in a case of alleged corruption in the capital investment fund of the Tidore Islands Regional Government.
"Today, the investigation team of the Tidore Islands State Prosecutor's Office has named two suspects with the initials RMY and MTR," said Tikep Prosecutor's Office, Faisal Arifuddin, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 20.
The two suspects are the former President Director (Director) of Perumda Aman Mandiri with the initials RMY and the initials MTR as treasurer.
"The determination of the suspect was preceded by carrying out an investigation based on investigation warrant No. 152 dated May 22, 2023. Then the suspect was named based on a letter of determination of the suspect from the Head of the Tidore Kejari Number Tap 18 /Q.2.11 / Fd.1 / 09/2023 and Tap 19 Q.2.11 / Fd.1 / 09/2023 dated September 20, 2023, "he said.
The prosecutor assessed that the two of them had committed an unlawful act, namely using the capital participation funds of the Tidore Islands local government for personal interests outside the business activities of Perumda Aman Mandiri.
"The suspect's mode of making fictitious accountability to cover up the use of money that cannot be accounted for in financial reports resulting in state/regional financial losses of the Tidore island local government amounting to Rp. 3,020,648,000," explained Faisal.
The local government of Tidore Islands distributed capital participation to the independent safe Perumda of Rp. 10 billion rupiah, consisting of Rp. 5 billion in 2017 amounting to Rp. 4 billion and in 2019 amounting to Rp. 1 billion.
Based on regional regulations for the city of Tidore Islands number 1 of 2017 and regional regulations for the city of Tidore Islands number 4 of 2017 concerning capital participation to the Mandiri Safe Perumda.
"Currently, the two suspects have been detained at the Soa Sio Detention Center for 20 days for investigation purposes," he said.
