Aaron Wan-Bissaka Makes Erik ten Hag Even More Confused Ahead of Bayern Munich vs Manchester United
JAKARTA - Manchester United will visit Bayern Munich's headquarters in the first match of Group A of the 2023/2024 Champions League. However, bad news came to the English club ahead of its visit to the Allianz Stadium, Thursday, September 20 in the early hours of Western Indonesian Time (WIB).
The list of injured MU players increases. This time it was Aaron Wan-Bissaka who entered the treatment room. The defense line of the team nicknamed the Red Devils is increasingly porous and makes manager Erik ten Hag even more dizzy.
The reason is, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Raphael Varane were already injured. Apart from that, Mason Mount, Amad Diallo, Thomas Heaton and Sofyan Amrabat also cannot be used for the same reason.
Wan-Bissaka suffered an injury when he came on as a substitute in the 85th minute to replace Sergio Reguilon when his team lost 1-3 to Brighton and Hove Albion in the 2023/2024 English Premier League at Old Trafford, Saturday, September 16.
"Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be absent for some time after suffering an injury in the final stages of Saturday's match against Brighton and Hove Albion," wrote the club's official website, quoted via Antara.
Regarding Wan-Bissaka's long absence, the club estimates that the former Crystal Palace player will be absent for several weeks.
"Further assessment will be required to determine how long Wan-Bissaka will be out, but initial indications suggest that this will take several weeks," continued the club's statement.
This season, of the Reds Devils' four matches before meeting The Seagulls, Wan-Bissaka has always appeared since the early minutes with a total of 336 minutes played, as reported by Transfermarkt.
Of the five matches played, the English defender has recorded one assist for Raphael Varane when his team narrowly won 1-0 in the opening match in the Premier League this season against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Theater of Dreams.
