Nadin Amizah Makes Sure There Is No Sexual Harassment When His Body Is Touched By The Audience
JAKARTA - Nadin Amizah again talked about the unpleasant case that occurred at Cihampelas Walk Bandung on Sunday, September 24.
Regarding his body being touched by many people, Nadin ensured that he did not experience any sexual harassment.
"Thank you very much for your support, thank you very much for helping to voice what happened to me last night," said Nadin Amizah, opening his clarification on Instagram Story, seen Tuesday, September 26.
"I want to straighten a little that I myself don't think I'm a victim of sexual harassment, because I feel I'm going to take a vote from the victim who is actually experiencing sexual harassment," he continued.
Nadin sees his fans may not intend to make him uncomfortable, but what has happened has made him feel uncomfortable.
"I would like to say that it's even as simple as you guys trying to touch the part here (right arm) and the part here (left arm) I'm just a hazard too. Maybe it's not sexual harassment, and I'm not going to say it's sexual harassment. But I don't accept my body being touched, any part without my consent. I don't accept it, and I don't want that to happen anymore," said Nadin Amizah.
The Crazy Woman's Appeal singer also asked those who voiced their concerns to no longer use the phrase sexual violence against what happened to her.
"So, for media friends and other public figures who want to help me voice this matter, let's reduce the sexual word of this case. Because it might be different," said Nadin.
"But this may not be less important, it remains that no one deserves to be touched, sexually harassed or without his consent," he added.
Nadin also reiterated that the people who touched her were women. He hopes that similar incidents will no longer happen.
"And I know sexual violence can occur with gender, but I know that yesterday it was all me that touched all of you women, and I know you feel because you are with the gender of me, you can touch me. But once again, no one should touch my body, anyone, without my consent," he concluded.
