Prabowo Will Announce The 2024 Vice Presidential Candidate Before October 10, 2023

JAKARTA - The presidential candidate from the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Prabowo Subianto plans to announce his vice presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election before 10 October 2023. This is in line with the KPU plan to advance the 2024 presidential and vice presidential candidate registration schedule to 10-16 October 2023. "Before October 10, 2023 it will be announced," said Deputy PAN Viva Yoga Mauladi in his statement, Wednesday, September 13. A number of candidates for Prabowo's vice presidential candidate have been proposed by KIM's party, such as Golkar Chairman Airlangga Hartarto, SOE Minister Erick Thohir, to Yusril Ihza Mahendra from the United Nations.Viva revealed that the announcement of the vice presidential candidate and vice presidential candidate registration period for the 2024 presidential election. Because the KPU advances the registration period of presidential and vice presidential pairs on October 10, 2023, the announcement of Prabowo's vice presidential candidate was made before that date. Previously, KPU member Idham Holik said that his party would change the registration schedule for a presidential candidate and vice presidential candidate pairs in the 2024 presidential election. KPU, said Idham, advancing the registration schedule for pairs will be presidential-cawapres on October 10-16, 2023 from the previous 19 October-25 November 2023. Idham said, in the near future, the KPU would consult with Commission II DPR and the Ministry of Home Affairs representing the government regarding the plan to adjust the schedule for the registration of the candidate pairs. The Idham also ensured that the schedule adjustment would not interfere with the implementation of the 2024 Simultaneous Election stages. Meanwhile, Gerindra Party Secretary General Ahmad Muzani said Prabowo Subianto considered the Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party Ridwan Kamil as a candidate to accompany him in the 2024 presidential election. It's just that, said Muzani, Prabowo's vice presidential candidate must be discussed together with Prabowo's supporting parties who are members of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM), believe that Gerindra, Golkar, PAN, and the Crescent Star Party (PBB).
