Attended By 113 Companies, PLN Nusantara Power Holds Nusantara Power Connect 2023

JAKARTA - PLN Nusantara Power is again holding Nusantara Power Connect 2023 (NP Connect 2023) at the Jakarta Convention Center, from 11 to 12 September 2023.

The NP Connect 2023 event presented 113 companies, 177 companies, 20 conference sessions, and 55 speakers attended by 8 countries from Indonesia, India, Japan, Singapore, Austria, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, and China.

President Director of PT PLN (Persero) Darmawan Prasodjo expressed his appreciation for PLN NP's performance in presenting the biggest electricity event in Indonesia.

"It is a source of pride because this event is PLN Nusantara Power's contribution to the development of the electricity industry, especially in encouraging the acceleration of the national energy transition," said Darmawan in his speech, Monday, September 11.

As is known, the rebranding of NP Connect from previously known as PJB Connect was carried out in line with the name change of PT Pembangkitan Jawa-Bali (PT PJB) to PT PLN Nusantara Power (PLN NP). This name change and transformation was strengthened by PLN NP through the establishment of a Strategic Office in Jakarta. This effort was made to increase its business expansion.

According to the President Director of PT PLN Nusantara Power, Ruly Firmansyah, the Nusantara Power Connect 2023 event with the theme 'Strengthening The Base Expanding The Business' in Jakarta is a meeting place related to business opportunities and knowledge for electricity industry stakeholders on a global scale, and in the context of overcome challenges in this area.

"In responding to global challenges and accelerating the realization of Net Zero Emissions by 2060, we are holding Nusantara Power Connect 2023 so that interaction, communication, discussion and joint synergy in the electricity industry can occur," said Ruly.

According to him, for 7 consecutive years, this event, which was previously called PJB Connect, has made a major contribution to the development of the electricity industry in Indonesia. At this year's event, PLN Nusantara Power deliberately held it in Jakarta as the center of government and business, making it easier for all stakeholders to attend and contribute through the ideas and innovations they brought.

In this event, 20 inter-agency cooperation signings were also held that encourage the development of the electricity industry in order to strengthen synergy in the implementation of generator O&M, support national independence through optimizing TKDN, support the government's energy transition program towards Net Zero Emission through plans to build PLTS IKN, PLTB, and others.

"Our big hope is that through NP Connect 2023, it will become the epicenter in driving the development of the electricity industry on a global scale. This event is intended so that all electricity industry players can get access to the latest technology, information, and innovation," concluded Ruly.
