The Government Should Not Allow Doctor Tifa's Tweets About The 2.0 Pandemic To Make People Noise
JAKARTA - Commission IX of the DPR asked the government to explain the issue of the Pandemic 2.0 and the lockdown in 2023. This issue was widely discussed after a doctor's post went viral on social media.
Previously, it went viral on social media, uploading a doctor named dr. Tifauzia Tyassuma. He said, the pandemic 2.0, which was scheduled for 2025, was actually pushed forward to 2023. Doctors claim that in a month or two, Indonesia will also experience a lockdown. This includes the existence of work from home (WFH) rules, and the use of masks.
This is the aftermath of air pollution which is getting worse and the latest variant of COVID-19, namely Eris, has entered Indonesia. The tweet of dr.Tifa, who is a molecular epidemiologist and practitioner of health foods, is about the 2, 2.0 pandemic, which has suddenly become a topic of conversation and raises concerns.
Member of Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Arzeti Bilbina, assessed that the government must respond to the information submitted by dr.Tifa.
"Information that is not true or confusing can cause panic and confusion. Therefore, there needs to be strong educational efforts to explain to the public that the issue of the 2.0 pandemic has a strong basis," he said, Monday, September 11.
Arzeti assessed that the public still needs to be given education about the Covid-19 virus that still exists today. Even though Indonesia has entered the endemic phase, according to Arzeti, people are still traumatized by the pandemic situation that was felt several years ago.

"Currently people are still trying to get back up again after we struggled due to the pandemic. Both from the economy to the social side, we are all still undergoing a recovery phase. So when the issue of the Pandemic 2.0 spreads on social media quickly, of course this raises concerns," he explained.
"In addition to clarification, a comprehensive and basic explanation is needed by the community. The government needs to provide a comprehensive understanding in a transparent manner. Moreover, our society is critical so it needs to get a real explanation," added Arzeti.
Arzeti also considers the issue of the Pandemic 2.0 to be a warning to the Government for the lack of socialization and education about the development of the status of the Covid-19 virus and air pollution. He also highlighted information from the World Health Organization or WHO which said the trend related to Covid-19 was less encouraging, especially in the northern hemisphere.
In its release, WHO estimates that there are still hundreds of thousands of people worldwide who are currently being treated in hospital due to Covid-19. This is because many countries have stopped reporting data related to the Coronavirus.
