The Ministry Of PUPR Will Build 23 Dams Worth IDR 21.56 Trillion In 2024

The Directorate General of Water Resources (SDA) of the Ministry of PUPR will resume infrastructure development in the form of dams and lakes in 2024.

Director General (Dirjen) of SDA of the Ministry of PUPR Bob Arthur Lombgia said his party would build a total of 23 dams using the 2024 budget ceiling.

Bob said the allocation for the construction of 23 water infrastructure reached Rp. 21.56 trillion from the total budget ceiling received by the Directorate General of Natural Resources amounting to Rp. 47.64 trillion.

"With the allocation of the budget ceiling, the 2024 Fiscal Year (TA) performance target is planned to build 23 dams consisting of an additional 1 new dam, namely Pelosika in Southeast Sulawesi," Bob said in a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission V DPR RI, Thursday, September 7.

Bob revealed that of the 23 dams, 15 of them are targeted to be completed in 2024. A total of 15 dams, namely, the Keureuto Dam, Rukok and Rukoh Steering Building (Aceh), Tiga Dihaji (Sumsel), Leuwikeris (Jabar), Jlantah, Bener, Jragung (Central Java), and Bagong (East Java).

Then, Sidan Dam (Bali), Meninting (NTB), Manikin (NTT), Marangkayu (Kaltim), Bulango Ulu (Gorontalo), Budong-Budong (Sulbar), and Way Apu (Maluku).

"As for 7 on going dams, namely Cibeet, Cijurey, Karangnongko, Cabean, Jenelata, Riam Kiwa, and Mbay dams," said Bob.

In addition, the budget allocation of IDR 21.56 trillion for the Dam and Lake sectors is also intended to revitalize 4 lakes, namely Teloko Lake (Sumsel), Tondano Lake (Sulut), Tempe Lake (Sulsel), and Ayamaru Lake (Papua).

In addition, the budget ceiling of the Directorate General of Water Resources will also be allocated for operations and maintenance of IDR 7.08 trillion, damaged power control of IDR 6.09 trillion, and swamp irrigation of IDR 4.17 trillion.

Then, the allocation for land acquisition is IDR 3.20 trillion, management support is IDR 2.55 trillion, groundwater and raw water is IDR 1.82 trillion, and other technical support is IDR 1.17 trillion.
