For The Sake Of Sevilla, Sergio Ramos Rejects 10 Times Salary From Saudi Arabian Clubs
JAKARTA - Sergio Ramos officially returned to Sevilla. He turned down a 10-time offer from the Saudi Arabian club.
Sergio Ramos is free of transfer after last playing for French giant Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). He later received a proposal from Sevilla, the club that has made his name.
Quoted from Mundo Deportivo, Ramos was willing to reject the Saudi Arabian club's offer, Al Ittihad, which gave him a salary offer of up to 20 million euros (Rp328 trillion) per year.
Apart from Al Ittihad, Ramos is also said to have rejected the Turkish club's offer, Galatasaray. The Turkish club has offered a salary of 11 million euros (Rp189 trillion) per year.
Meanwhile in Sevilla, Ramos only received a salary of around two million euros per year (IDR 32 billion). Thus the salary in Sevilla is ten times smaller than the offer made in Saudi Arabia.
But behind Ramos' decision to refuse the high salaries of the two clubs above, he has quite reasonable reasons. Sevilla was chosen by Ramos to be the club defended for past travel.
Ramos is a footballer born to the Sevilla academy. He also started his professional career at the club.
With his glossy performance, Ramos only felt one season away from defending Sevilla. It happened because he was immediately recruited by Real Madrid when he was 19 years old with the most expensive transfer status for a Spanish defender.
Together with Real Madrid, Ramos has transformed into one of the best defenders in the history of football. Sergio Ramos also had time to try out a new experience at Paris Saint-Germain for two seasons before finally deciding to return to Sevilla.
