Police Still Investigating The Death Of Social Activist Michelle Kurisi Victims Of Persecution Allegedly KKB

JAYAPURA - Papua Police Chief Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri said that currently local police officers are still investigating the case of abuse that led to the death of humanitarian activist Michelle Kurisi Doga.

"There have been several witnesses who have been questioned," said Inspector General Fakhiri, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 5.

He said the case was being investigated, what was the cause of the case of violence that killed the victim of a woman.

In addition, he said, his party could not confirm who the perpetrators of the murder were because they were still under investigation.

"There must be evidence related to the perpetrators of the persecution that killed the victim," he said.

Separately, the Director of Criminal Investigation at the Papua Police, Kombes Arif Bastari, said that his party had received the autopsy results on the victim which was carried out at Bhayangkara Hospital, Jayapura, Friday (1/9).

From the autopsy results, he said, it was revealed that the victim Michele Kurisi Doga died from injuries to sharp objects in several parts of his body.

"There were no gunshot wounds, the victim's body had stab wounds to the forehead, chest and back and it was suspected that the victim had bleeding and died," said Arif Bastari.

Previously, the body of Michelle Kurisi Dog was found Thursday (31/8) in Koluwok Village, Kolowa District, Lanny Jayapura Regency, Papua Mountains, and the bodies of the victims were buried on Saturday (2/9) in Jayapura.
