Encourage Transparency, Ministry Of Finance Holds Public Information Disclosure Seminar
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) encourages the disclosure of information on public supervision of state/government administration and everything that has an impact on the public interest to increase.
One of these commitments is realized through the implementation of the Public Information Disclosure Seminar which was held today in Jakarta.
Head of the Communication and Information Services Bureau of the Ministry of Finance, Deni Surjantoro, said that the task of public bodies cannot only focus on providing information services, but it is necessary to play an active role in filling public spaces.
According to him, it is very important to convey the latest data and information regarding the policies of public bodies, so that they are expected to break the chain of disinformation spread. (hoax).
"In line with the objectives of the Law on Public Information Disclosure, we continue to strive to realize the implementation of good governance at the Ministry of Finance which is expected to have implications for creating public trust," he said on Tuesday, August 30.
Similarly, the Secretary General (Secretary General) of the Ministry of Finance Heru Pambudi revealed that the theme of the Public Information Disclosure Seminar, namely the Principles of Policy for the 2024 State Budget, is very relevant to the focus and priorities of the current government in discussing the 2024 State Budget Bill.
"As a dynamic public policy instrument, the process of planning and formulating the state budget requires many perspectives from public perspectives including from experts and academics, as well as other related parties," he said.
Heru explained that public perspectives are needed as material for improvement as well as the realization of the implementation of good governance and strengthening public participation in the preparation of the 2024 State Budget which is increasingly credible, transparent, and accountable.

Meanwhile, this year's Public Information Disclosure Seminar was held in order to provide an overview and understanding to the public regarding the main points of the 2024 State Budget policy. This is important to encourage public understanding of the strategic role of the State Budget in carrying out its role as a shock absorber, accelerator for economic transformation and instruments to realize the welfare of the community.
