Government Promises To Fulfill All BPK Recommendations In Accountability For The 2022 State Budget

Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani emphasized that the government has followed up on the recommendation of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) on the 2022 State Budget and is committed to resolving this. According to the Minister of Finance, the BPK pinned an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) on the performance of fiscal instruments last year.

"We convey that the government has followed up and continues to be committed to completing all BPK recommendations," he said at the DPR Plenary Meeting on the Draft Law on Accountability for the Implementation of the State Budget for Fiscal Year 2022 in Jakarta, Tuesday, August 29.

The Minister of Finance explained that the government compiled and submitted a detailed and measurable action plan on all BPK recommendations.

"The government is also monitoring the completion of the follow-up and reporting the progress of the settlement periodically to the BPK," he said.

The state treasurer also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all factions in the DPR. With the hard work of the Government together with the DPR during the pandemic, the WTP opinion on the Central Government Financial Statements has been maintained for 7 consecutive years since 2016.

"The conditions that are very unusual, extraordinary, are not the reason for the government's reports in the field of state finance to decline in quality. This achievement cannot be separated from the excellent synergy of the central and regional governments as well as the Indonesian House of Representatives as well as all levels of society," closed the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani.
