Ganjar Yakin PPP Masih Setia Bersama Coalition PDIP

JAKARTA - The presidential candidate from the PDI-P Ganjar Pranowo said the United Development Party (PPP) was still loyal to join the ranks of the coalition supporting its presidential candidacy.

This follows the statement by the Chairman of Bappilu PPP Sandiaga Uno who plans to invite PKS and Democrats to establish joint political cooperation. Even so, he did not deny that the issue was developing in society.

"That's a discourse developed. Of course to this day, PPP is still with the PDI-P," said Ganjar at the PDIP DPP office, Jakarta, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, August 28.

When asked about the possibility of PPP withdrawing support for him, Ganjar emphasized that until now PPP is still establishing political cooperation with PDIP, Hanura, and Perindo for its presidential election in 2024.

"Until today there is no story (PPP has withdrawn support for its candidacy)," he said.

Previously, on Sunday (27/8), the chairman of Bappilu PPP Sandiaga Uno Sandiaga Uno stated that he would try to invite PKS and the Democratic Party to cooperate in the 2024 presidential election.

Sandi said that currently PKS and Democrats already have their own coalition to carry Anies Baswedan as presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential election. Meanwhile, PPP together with PDIP, Hanura, and Perindo carried Ganjar Pranowo's candidacy.

Nevertheless, Sandiaga will continue to try to invite PKS and Democrats to work together.

"Communication if at the party level everything is carried out by the Acting Ketum (Muhamad Mardiono), but I will propose as I say that we must be able to be able to fight together in the political dynamics that occur," said Sandi at the At-Taqwa Mosque Hall, Jakarta, Sunday (27/8).

He emphasized that PPP is still establishing political cooperation with PDIP. Therefore, the invitation to cooperate with PKS and Democrats is still in the context of expanding support for Ganjar's candidacy.

Sandiaga explained that if there is a scenario for the formation of the PPP-PKS-Democrat coalition axis, it is better not to discuss it to the public first. Moreover, he continued, those authorized to discuss it were the party's highest leadership.

"So if there is talk, the channel is in the general chairman. As I said, later the general chairman will consider it because it is not a domain rather than Bappilu," he said.
