Perumnas Offers 1,107 Apartment Residential Units In Palembang
PALEMBANG - The National Public Housing Company (Perumnas) offers 1,107 apartment residential units in the Jakabaring area, Palembang, South Sumatra, in order to increase access to decent housing for the community.
Marketing Director of Perumnas Imelda Alini Pohan said that comfortable housing is needed by the community, including the millennial generation, because based on data from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) there are 81 million people from the millennial generation who do not yet have housing.
Therefore, his party launched the Samesta Apartment in the Jakabaring area, Palembang City, which has three towers (power) with a occupancy capacity of 1,107 units.
"We together with all housing stakeholders continue to move quickly by providing quality and affordable ideal housing. In this apartment there are 3 towers with 1,107 housing units consisting of studio types and two bedrooms (bedrooms)," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, August 26.
He explained that the residential price started at a price of Rp. 200 million. His party is also committed to providing housing that is not only comfortable, but also has adequate facilities and infrastructure, and is strategically located.
"Currently, Samesta Jakabaring has ordered almost 30 percent of the total units. The condition of the apartments that have been well facilitated is an attractive residential option because they are ready to be inhabited by consumers. In the future, Perumnas is also coordinating with the local government in providing shuttle feeders to the nearest LRT station for the convenience of residents and the surrounding community in reaching their activities," he explained.
In addition, Perumnas is promoting the 'Now Easy To Have A Home' campaign. The campaign offers flexibility where all professions, be it professions that are bankable or non-bankable, can buy a house with various location options in Indonesia
"Now there is a tendency in the millennial generation to spend their money for lifestyle needs rather than investing in private housing. So that education for the younger generation is deemed necessary to change their perspective on the convenience of owning a dwelling," he said.
Especially at this time, he said, there tends to be a mindset of the millennial generation who is of the view that owning a house is difficult and complicated.
"Therefore, everyone needs to change their mindset by providing real education and convenience that can be felt by the millennial generation. This campaign from Perumnas is expected to strengthen the determination and courage of the millennial generation to realize their dream of owning a dwelling," said Imelda.
Meanwhile, the Director of Self-Help Homes at the Ministry of PUPR KM Arsyad said that his collaboration with Perumnas could build a number of residential towers for the community.
"Home is our main need. The government has guaranteed that people have the right to live in decent homes. The government has also targeted access to decent houses from 56 percent to 70 percent," he said.

Over the past nine years, the government has increased the number of houses for the community through the program of a million homes. By 2023, it is targeted to reach 480 thousand houses.

The Ministry of PUPR has also facilitated financing through housing financing liquidity facilities (FLPP), down payment assistance subsidies and so on.
