Google Launches More Than 25 New Channels On Google TV

JAKARTA - The technology giant Google has officially announced several updates for its television service, Google TV, to provide more shows to its users.

In April, Google announced the availability of more than 800 free TV channels on the Live tab in the US, including the built-in channel directly from Google TV.

Now. The tech giant announced that they are naming more than 25 new channels to Google TV that can be watched live outside the box, or no separate app downloads are required or enter first.

"This means you now have access to more than 100 free built-in channels including hit TV shows such as Top Gear and Baywatch, game shows, music channels, multicultural entertainment and more," wrote Nick Staubach and Sal Altayyar, as Product Manager, Google TV in Google blog.

Not only that, Google also announced that starting this football season, the NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube and YouTube TV will be fully integrated into Google TV in the US.

This means that you can now access Sunday afternoon matches directly, look at the main highlights and get recommendations for this week's top game, on your Google TV.

If you are a YouTube TV subscriber with NFL Sunday Ticket as part of your membership, content will be available in the channel guide on your Live tab, so you can quickly find whatever games you're looking for.

"With this update, you'll have more ways to watch the entertainment you like, at a cheaper price, on Google TV. So, you can kick back, relax, and listen to big games or view Live tabs for all your TVs straight away and subscribe to your favorites," the announcement concluded.
