Ritual Of Flushing Water In The Body, Livestock Thief In Bangkalan, East Java Arrested In NTB
BANGKALAN - Bangkalan Police, East Java, managed to arrest a young man who stole livestock who fled to West Nusa Tenggara and is currently being held at the local police headquarters.
"The suspect we managed to arrest has the initials MA (22), a resident of Pakong Village, Modung District, Bangkalan Regency," said Bangkalan Police Chief AKBP Isman Jaya Tuesday, August 22.
The suspect stole the livestock of residents in Kranggan Timur Village, Galis District on January 9, 2023.
He then fled to NTB and officers made arrests at the escape site concerned.
The theft of the animal was reported by Syaiful and Mustakim, residents of East Kranggan Village, Galis District, who owns 2 missing cows, with the number: LP/B/16/VI/2023/SPKT/Galis Police/Bangkalan Police.
The results of the investigation by the Bangkalan Police Criminal Investigation Team stated that the Supreme Court collaborated with 2 colleagues FS (19), residents of Pakong Village, Modung District and AR (20), residents of Tanah Merah Laok Village, Tanah Merah District who were arrested by officers first.
"To investigators, the Supreme Court admitted to carrying out their actions in several different places, there were 5 recognized crime scenes, apart from the stolen motorbikes," said Febri.
The police chief said that in every action, the suspect watered the victim's yard with soap bath water, which was believed by the perpetrator to be able to put the whole victim's house fast asleep.
"So in every action, the suspect uses soap water used to bathe the corpse. The water is believed to be able to launch the action, because the whole house of the potential victim will be fast asleep," he explained.
From the action carried out by the gang of thieves, two cows belonging to the residents were successfully secured.

"The stolen cows were not sold immediately, hidden in the bushes in the middle of the forest, with the aim of asking for a ransom of 5 million per head. If the stolen motorbikes have been sold," said the police chief.
For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) concerning the Crime of Animal Theft with a maximum penalty of seven years in prison.
