Courier 9.11 Grams Of Methamphetamine In Medan Sued 10 Years In Prison
The Belawan District Attorney's Public Prosecutor (JPU) charged the defendant Mas Darwin alias Darwin, a resident of Medan Deli, for 10 years in a case of methamphetamine weighing 9.11 grams.
"Ask the panel of judges to sentence them to 10 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 2 billion, subsidiary to one year in prison," said Public Prosecutor Daniel Surya Partogi at the Medan District Court, reported by ANTARA, Monday, August 21.
The prosecutor said that the defendant violated as regulated and threatened with crime, Article 114 paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics, as the primary indictment, namely without rights or against the law offering to sell, sell, buy, accept, become intermediaries in buying and selling, exchanging and delivering narcotics class I weighing more than five grams, namely 9.11 grams.
"The aggravating thing is that the defendant's actions do not support the government's program in eradicating drug trafficking, mitigating things, the defendant is not complicated in the trial and regrets his actions," said Daniel.
After reading the memorandum of demand, the panel of judges chaired by Ulina Marbun postponed the trial with the agenda of reading the defendant's defense (pledoi) next week.

In the indictment, it was explained that on April 4, 2023, police personnel received information that it was in the area on the edge of the Jalan Alfaka 7 neighborhood 6, Tanjung Mulia Hilir Village, Medan Deli District.
Following up on this information, officers immediately went to the location to find the defendant. Upon arrival, the defendant was secured along with evidence of plastic clips containing methamphetamine and Rp359 thousand in cash.
After being interrogated, the defendant admitted to getting the illicit goods from Babeh (DPO) with a pay system after selling them.
