East Kalimantan Governor Asks Acting Regional Head To Focus On Development Programs
East Kalimantan Governor Isran Noor requested that the transitional moment of leadership of regional heads in this province not be filled with political nuances, but rather focus on the interests of development programs.
"I think the governor's transitional moment will not be filled with political nuances but has program interests," said Isran Noor, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 18.
He said the programs that had been prepared with Deputy Governor Hadi Mulyadi already existed and only had to be continued with the governor's acting (Pj).
"There are no priorities, only those that have been programmed by me and the deputy governor are all priorities," said Isran.
Isran Noor and Hadi Mulyadi's term of office will end on October 1, 2023. The election for the regional head (pilkada) of East Kalimantan itself will only be held in 2024.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the East Kalimantan DPRD Hasanuddin Mas'ud said there were already five candidates for governor of East Kalimantan who were discussed internally by the council. All names are immediately submitted to the central government through the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri).
"We have discussed internally, there are five names that have entered," said Hasanuddin.
Although there are five names, he said, he is not yet willing to name them.
