East Java Police Have Arrested A Gang Of Burglars Of Houses And Thieves
SURABAYA- Jatanras Sub-Directorate III Team of the East Java Police Ditreskrimum arrested seven specialists in breaking into houses and three perpetrators of motor vehicle theft.
"Seven specialists in breaking into this house have acted in 13 crime scenes (TKP) in nine districts/cities in East Java," said Wadirreskrimum of the East Java Police AKBP Piter Yanottama as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 15.
In detail, two crime scenes in August 2023 in Bojonegoro and three crime scenes in February, April and June 2023 in Mojokerto.
Furthermore, two crime scenes in Bangkalan in January and April 2023. Then one crime scene in Situbondo in June, Jombang in January, Pamekasan in February, Tuban in May, Malang in April and Jember in February.
Piter explained that each of the perpetrators had a different role. Five perpetrators as executors or perpetrators of theft and weighting (curat) namely the initials SA (44) from Sidokare, Sidoarjo, AA (54) from Gebang, Sidoarjo, SO (47) from Sidokare Sidoarjo, BF (39) from Sidoarjo Gathering, AM (47) from Pucang Sidoarjo.
Then there were two perpetrators acting as collectors or recipients of theft crimes, namely PW (48) from Pekauman Sidoarjo and AS from Popoh Wonoayu, Sidoarjo.

When in action, the perpetrator went around first to find the target of an empty house. To ensure the house that is targeted uninhabited, one of the perpetrators turned off the electricity of the house.
"If no one goes out then breaks the lock of the house, then drains all the contents of the house. This is done at nine crime scenes," he said.
In carrying out the action, the perpetrators were armed with operational cars, crowbars, scissors, English keys, L keys, kater to toys.
They also often take a number of valuables. Starting from television, watches, laptops, tennis rackets, cameras, folding bikes and drones.
The five executors were charged with Article 366 of the Criminal Code. Then two custodians were charged with Article 480 of the Criminal Code. "The maximum sentence is 4 years in prison," said Piter.
Meanwhile, the three perpetrators of motor vehicle theft were SA (39), a resident of Balung Jember, NA (41) a resident of Wuluhan Jember and KS (37) a resident of Semboro Jember. They operated at six crime scenes in the Jember area during May, June, July and August 2023.
"The modus operandi is that two people as jockeys or executors carry a T key. One is the supervisor around the crime scene," said Piter.
Three perpetrators of motor vehicle theft were charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code paragraphs 1 4 and 5. "With a maximum penalty of 9 years in prison," said Piter.
