Fabio Quartararo Is Running Out Of Patience With Yamaha
JAKARTA - Fabio Quartararo seems to have run out of patience with the drop in Yamaha's motorcycle performance. He also gave the team a deadline to make repairs immediately.
The 2021 MotoGP World Champion was furious after getting bad results again at the English MotoGP last weekend.
Fabio Quartararo gave a strong warning to Yamaha to improve the performance of the motorbike he was driving throughout the 2023 MotoGP season.
It was following a tough weekend at the English MotoGP at the Silverstone Circuit last weekend, which saw him finish in 15th position.
"On the Misano test later, I want to have evidence. They have one month," said Quartararo.
"Yamaha has promised me things for three years in 10 pages of PDF documents, nine and a half pages of which are not fulfilled."
"This year I don't want to see the PDF. I don't want to see written things. What I want to see is the motorbike, because it will be at least 95 percent of the (projects) that will run in 2024. There it will be seen whether Yamaha really wants me to race in the future," he added.
Just 12 months ago, Quartararo led the championship points before finally handing over the MotoGP crown to Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo).
The French rider has only won three podiums and zero wins since the 2022 British GP and it appears he has run out of patience until a trial will be carried out at Misano.

Quartararo has also put out a challenge to Yamaha but admits his preference is to stay on the lap of the Japanese manufacturer.
"Yamaha is a priority because it was the brand that brought me to MotoGP, I trusted Yamaha and I gave them a chance, but there won't be a second one," he said.
In addition, Quartararo also separated from manager Eric Mahe to build his own management company FQ20.
"Now I feel much more free. I have people at home dealing with the legal department and the economic part. I know what I want, I don't want to be dizzy. It will be very important to see what Yamaha is doing next year," he said.
Meanwhile, the 10th round will take place at the Red Bull Ring Circuit in Austria on August 18-20.
