Xavi Hernandez Beset by Worries after Barcelona Won the Joan Gamper Trophy
JAKARTA - Barcelona won the Joan Gamper trophy after beating Tottenham Hotspur with a score of 4-2 at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Company, Wednesday, August 9, Western Indonesian Time (WIB).
Despite winning, Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez felt fear. Its flagship defender, Ronald Araujo, was injured.
Araujo had to be withdrawn in the first half after a heavy collision with Spurs' Davinson Sanchez.
Xavi hopes Araujo can recover from injury before the first La Liga match when the Blaugrana visit Getafe headquarters this weekend.
In the match against Spurs, Barcelona immediately scored a goal when the match had only been running for three minutes. Rapinha received a gastric through ball before providing an assist which was completed by Robert Lewandowski.
Tottenham were able to equalize in the 24th minute. Oliver Skipp broke into Marc-Andre ter Stegen's goal after grabbing a gag ball that hit the crossbar.
Skipp again listed his name on the scoreboard nine minutes later. His header in front of goal after receiving Ivan Perisic's cross from the left was unable to be contained by Ter Stegen.
Tottenham won 2-1 until the first half ended, as reported by Antara.

In the second half, Barcelona made a number of substitutions including bringing in Ferran Torres, Ansu Fati, Abde Ezzalzouli, and Lamine Yamal.
Xavi's substitutions proved fruitful with Ferran, Ansu and Abde scoring each in the dying minutes of the second half.
Barcelona could equalize to 2-2 in the 81st minute. Ferran Torres scored a tap-in goal after receiving an attractive cross from Lamine Yamal.
They were back ahead two minutes later. This time, it was Ferran Torres' turn to provide assists to Ansu Fati, who successfully broke into Tottenham's goal with a shot in the penalty box. Score became 3-2.
Barcelona scored their fourth goal in the 90+3 minute. Lamal again played an important role in the goal, he beat the Tottenham left-back.
Lamal then played a through ball for Fermin Lopez who played the ball to Abde. The last player stood free and easily scored to make it 4-2.
No additional goals were created until the match was over, Barcelona won 4-2 over Tottenham.
