House In Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta Caught Fire Due To An Electric Short Circuit, 13 People Were Affected

JAKARTA - A fire occurred in a residential house on Jalan Melati, RT 13/10, Kebon Jeruk Village, Kebon Jeruk District, West Jakarta.

"The cause is suspected to be due to an electrical short circuit. Only 1 residence owned by Jamal (38) caught fire," Head of West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Syarifuddin when confirmed, Tuesday, August 8.

The fire, which had grown bigger, was successfully extinguished by 70 firefighters. The fire extinguishing process was carried out by deploying 14 fire engines belonging to the West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. to the location of the fire.

"The area burned was about 150 square meters. As a result of the fire, the owner of the house suffered a loss of Rp. 500 million," he said.

Luckily, there were no casualties or injuries from the fire. A total of 13 people from 4 families (KK) were affected by the fire.

"Currently, the fire has been extinguished," he said.
