Electricity Revitalization At The Palace, Minister Of State Secretary: Imagine Blackout When We Have Guests, Indonesia Will Become Headline

JAKARTA - Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Pratikno said, the electricity revitalization of the Jakarta Presidential Palace is becoming more modern, safe, stable and environmentally friendly. Electricity in the palace was only revitalized after 63 years.

"Revitalize it with new technology. It's safer, more stable, and of course also more friendly to the environment, it's greener, more economical, and so on," said Pratikno when inaugurating the electricity revitalization of the Jakarta Presidential Palace at the PLN Power House, Complex Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Antara, Tuesday, August 1.

Pratikno said that the electrical infrastructure at the Presidential Palace had not experienced significant improvements for 63 years. In fact, he continued, the palace is a very important place for the state because receiving state guests and also keeping state documents is very important.

"I, as one of the people responsible for taking care of the palace, yes, have often been nervous, nervous since last Monday until this morning regarding electricity; because, one. At this palace we often receive state guests. Just imagine if we thank state guests, suddenly the electricity goes out, Indonesia will become headlines around the world," said Pratikno.

Apart from that, in the palace there are also works of art that are very valuable and priceless. Therefore, the Palace is also one of the determinants of Indonesia's reputation in the international world so that electrical infrastructure must be properly installed and safe.

"So, it looks like an electrical problem, but this is a very big problem," he added.

Pratikno revealed that revitalizing electricity at the Palace using the latest technology could also be a model for preparing electricity in public infrastructure and the Indonesian Capital City (IKN).

"So, this is a model of a new prototype of our modern electricity infrastructure which we will replicate, we duplicate, we will even improve it even more for IKN and main infrastructure cities in Indonesia," he explained.

The revitalization of electricity at the Palace also pays attention to architectural aspects so that the physical building of the electricity infrastructure does not compete with the Merdeka Palace building.

Therefore, the electricity infrastructure at the Palace is focused on a power house that is built underground and disguised by a beautiful garden.

"Therefore also, from an architectural point of view, it is buried downwards, buried downwards and also becomes a comfortable public space. So, it's still like magic there are big trees planted here," said Pratikno.

Meanwhile, Main Director of PT PLN Persero Darmawan Prasodjo said the revitalization of electricity at the Palace made electrical equipment and infrastructure that were previously scattered now consolidated with a modern system using the "State of the Art of Technology" approach.

To maintain the aesthetics of the Palace, this electrical infrastructure is installed underground with a depth of up to 20 meters. If you look at it from ground level, you can only see the 2.5-meter high electricity infrastructure that is disguised by the beautiful architectural design of the park.

"In fact, it can go down 20 meters. From there we also disguise it as if it were a park," said Darmawan.

PLN has also changed the previously manual electricity system to digital and updated it with artificial intelligence (AI) devices.
