Throughout 2023, 3.3 Tons Of Drugs Were Secured From 377 Enforcements
TANGERANG - Director of Narcotics Interdiction of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC), Syarif Hidayat noted that there were 337 prosecutions with evidence of 3.28 tons of various types of drugs from January to July 2023.
"There have been 377 cases, meaning that every day we reveal more than one case. Then there are also about 3.3 tons of narcotics that we have managed to secure," Syarif told reporters, Monday, July 31.
Syarif explained that drugs were ranked first, namely Methaphetamine or methamphetamine. Both marijuana and finally ecstasy pills.
Furthermore, he explained the reason why methamphetamine was the top in Indonesia, because the Methaphetamine distribution was close to the Myanmar state as the Golden Triangle triangle.

Syarif revealed that narcotics users in Indonesia are quite high, therefore it is tightened in preventing drug use in Indonesia.
