Corruption Fugitive Of The Bengkulu Kaur Health Aid Fund Arrested By The Prosecutor's Office In Melawai
The Fugitive Arrest Team (Tabur) of the Attorney General's Office and the Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office arrested three fugitives who were on the wanted list (DPO) from the Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office related to the corruption of the 2022 Health Operational Assistance (BOK) fund in Kaur Regency, Bengkulu.
The three fugitives with the initials BSS, RNS, and AH were secured at an inn in the Melawai area, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta on Friday (28/7) at around 20.00 WIB.
"When secured, BSS, RNS, and AH were cooperative so that the security process went smoothly. Furthermore, the convict was taken to the South Jakarta District Attorney's Office for questioning by the Kaur District Attorney's Investigators," said the Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office, Ketut Sumedana, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, July 29.
He said BSS, RNS, and AH were secured in their capacity as witnesses who would be examined to be subsequently named as suspects for obstructing investigations.
"The three of them were examined by the Kaur District Attorney in the process of investigating corruption cases in the implementation and management of Health Operational Assistance (BOK) funds against 16 heads of public health centers in Kaur Regency for the 2022 Fiscal Year," he said.
In this case, he continued, the three admitted to being prosecutors' officials who could help resolve the handling of the case of 16 heads of the Kaur Regency Health Center, Bengkulu, by asking for a sum of money collected up to around Rp600,000,000.

"Then, when properly summoned by the Kaur Prosecutor's Office investigators, the three of them did not heed the call," he explained.
Through the Prosecutor's Sow program, he added, the Attorney General asked his staff to monitor and immediately arrest fugitives who are still on the loose for execution for legal certainty.
"The Attorney General appealed to all fugitives on the wanted list (DPO) of the Indonesian Attorney General's Office to immediately surrender and be held accountable for their actions. Because there is no safe hiding place," he said.
