The Body Of A Woman Near Yellowstone National Park Is Suspected Of Being A Victim Of A Chocolate Bear Attack
JAKARTA - A woman was found dead after being allegedly attacked by a grzzly bear or a brown bear near Yellowstone National Park in Montana, United States.
Investigators found bear tracks at a location suspected of being the site of the attack. His body was found on weekends on a footpath near West Yellowstone City.
The Department of Fisheries, Wildlife and Montana Park said the woman was found dead "after a meeting with the bear", as reported by The National News July 25.
The department said investigations into the attack were still ongoing. The cause of death has not been confirmed.
Yellowstone National Park itself is home togrizzly bears and black bears, with gripzzly bears protected under the Endangered Species Act.
The male guzzly bear can weigh between 90 kg and 317 kg, while the female grzzly bear weighs about 90 kg to 180 kg.
It is estimated that there will be more than 1,000 gripzzly bears in the Yellowstone area in 2021. Meanwhile, the national park in the United States is home to more than 1,000 animals

It is known that national park visitors are asked to keep a distance of at least 93 meters from the bear at all times, and never feed the bear or approach it.
"On average there is one bear attack per year in Yellowstone National Park," said National Park Service.
It said three people died as a result of being attacked by bears in the national park in 2011 and 2015.
