Surprised By The Style Of Rich Children In The Boy Reboot Record Film, Angga Yunanda: Don't Like Showing Off
JAKARTA - The film Note Si Boy reboot, starring Angga Yunanda and Syifa Hadju, is confirmed to be showing in theaters in the country starting August 17, 2023. Si Boy's notes were very popular in the 80s and 90s until 5 series were made.
At that time, the film about the association of teenagers with all the romance dramas stars Onky Alexander and Meriam Bellina. The figure of Boy is very attached to his fans.
Now directed by Hanung Bramantyo, a Boy character with a high social spirit character and has many friends entrusted to Angga Yunanda. During the shooting process, Angga received a lot of input to give maximum performances.
"It went smoothly for myself as Boy, the preparation was quite long, there was a workshop fighting because I had quite a number of sequences for fighting," said Angga Yunanda to reporters in the Setiabudi area, South Jakarta, Thursday, July 20.
Angga Yunanda admitted that before receiving an offer to become the Boy, he had already learned about the phenomenal film story. However, going through a long discussion process with the director and producer, Angga was given the trust to present the current figure of Si Boy without releasing his original character in the 80s.
"But for the development character, I have collected many other references to become Boy at this time, like I watched the original film, the discussion with the director was the old process. Finally, the Boy in the 2023 boy's notes, hopefully, it can be conveyed well later," explained Angga Yunanda.
"Here I want to give my own style as Boy today. But there is still a common thread that is not far from the old boy. It's just that Boy here makes me not really rich people, how come he doesn't like showing off," added Angga Yunanda.
Although in the trailer, it is shown how the figure of Boy, fire and speed of Angga Yunanda's car confirms that the boy being played is not a bad boy.
"In my opinion, Boy is not bad boy, he is really good boy, humble. Sporty is right. The gesture is for sure, it's just a surprise later," explained Angga Yunanda.

The notes of Si Boy rebooting are worked on by MD Pictures in collaboration with two production houses of MVP Pictures and Dapur Film. Apart from Angga and Syifa Hadju, there is Alyssa Daguise as Vera, Rebecca Klopper as Ina, Arya Vasco as Jefri, Carmela van der Kruk as Ocha, Gemi Nastiti as Melly, Ara Ajisiwa as Ambar, Diandra Agatha as Susan, and Naimma Aljufri as Charta.
Regarding the main character, Manoj Punjabi revealed that Angga Yunanda's name was the most suitable person to be Boy in the millennial era today.
"When casting Boy, in my mind there are Angga and there are two other names. We know, playing Boy certainly has a big pressure. We really have to be sure who deserves it, who is suitable to be Boy. We finally chose Angga, because we felt, yes already, this is Boy in the current era, he can," explained Manoj Punjabi.
