Evacuation Officers Of The Brantas And Truck Train Locomotives Who Were Hit In Semarang
Joint police officers and PT KAI evacuated locomotives and a series of trucks after being involved in an accident at a section crossing on Madukoro Street, Semarang City, Central Java.
Semarang Police Chief Kombes Irwan Anwar said the locomotive and truck head were trapped on the bridge over the Semarang West Flood Canal which is on the east side of the crossing.
"We will move the tronton and locomotive that are still above the river," said the Head of the Polrestabes as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 19.
Initial information from the witness showed that the trailer truck broke down while crossing the rail.
The driver and truck driver, he continued, had tried to ask for help, but did not have time to get into an accident.
"The position of the truck suddenly broke down, not breaking through the crossing," he said.
Meanwhile, the rest of the Brantas train carriages were pulled west towards Jrakah Station.
Head of Daop IV Semarang Wisnu Pramudyo said the carriage was pulled to Jrakah Station while waiting for the clean lane to resume the journey.
"For passengers, it is offered if you will continue with other modes of transportation, we provide it," he said.

The Brantas train bound for Jakarta-Blitar crashed into a truck at a crossing on Jalan Madukoro, West Semarang.
The train hit the head of the trailer truck that was passing from north to south. There was an explosion when the train locomotive hit the head of the truck.
