Care For Him (New Version), Jati Self-Driver
JAKARTA - Drive released the song Dia (New Version). Drive's decision to re-release this song with a new vocalist, Axl Ramanda, is definitely not without reason.
Replacing Arizki's position, the previous vocalist, Axl's presence in Drive's body received a positive response from the Drivemaniacs (as DRIVE fans) and the Indonesian people.
Since January 2023, Axl Ramanda has officially become a Drive personnel. The entry of Axl with a wide range of vocals and strong vocal characters, made Drive feel more free to explore.
Drive's old songs became fresher and made their performances on stage cooler.
At first there was no intention to find a new vocalist. Drive and Axl have collaborated for YouTube content in the old pandemic era around 2021. In October 2022, there happened to be one contract event, but Arizki suddenly got sick," said Dygo, Driver bassist, in his statement.
"Then Drive's management offered Axl to replace it, and the schedule was suitable. The concert at that time was very fun, some even stated that Axl looked very suitable as a Drive vocalist," he continued.
"Not long after that, we decided to look for a permanent vocalist. Because actually Arizki is also not a permanent driver and only temporarily fills the vocalist vacancy. Then we try to offer it to Axl to enter as a personnel, and he is willing."
Meanwhile, for Axl, being part of one of the big bands in Indonesia is a rare opportunity and without thinking, he also welcomed the trust that came to him.
"I think being the new vocalist of Drive is definitely very happy and proud, it could be part of Drive that we know is a big band that has lots of hits and also a band that has a strong musical character," he said.
The song He himself was composed by guitarist Bhusdeq (Budi Drive Rahardjo) and was first released by Drive in 2010.

A song that became the champion of Drive's third album tells the story of the expression of a man who wants to make his female friend aware that he is the man of the dreams she has been looking for.
Now 13 years later, Drive re-released this song with a different arrangement and with Axl Ramanda's incredible vocals, making this song sound more powerful than the previous version.
He is one of Drive's most suitable songs to represent real Drive music: thick with overdriven guitar sound, up-beat tempo, unique lyric theme, and modern arrangement.
