KPK It Turns Out That It Has Been Sending People Abroad To Chase Harun Masiku Since Last Month
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has sent people to neighboring countries since last month to pursue Harun Masiku. The existence of the fugitive in the interim bribery case (PAW) for members of the DPR RI was detected so that the team was immediately dispatched.
"Regarding HM (Harun Masiku) who was on the DPO, this is about a month ago, our team sent it to a neighboring country and checked because there was information that HM's brother was there," Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur told reporters at the KPK's Red and White House, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, July 6.
It was not specified the exact whereabouts of Harun. Asep only ensured that every information obtained was immediately traced to make arrests.
"There is information that HM's brother was there, was in the mosque, we checked there, there were also those who said he was in the church, we checked there, there were also those who lived in the apartment, we checked there," said Asep.
Harun's search is confirmed not only by visiting the location. Asep said there were various ways to do it, including asking the surrounding community.
"And we are also working with law enforcement officers who are there, we are escorted, so they are not illegal, come legally, meet law enforcement officials there to convey, because the initial information was there," said Asep.

Currently, the KPK is still pursuing three fugitives. They are Kirana Kotama who has been wanted since 2017 for alleged bribery in filing for a revision of forest function transfer in Riau Province in 2014 to the Ministry of Forestry.
Second, Paulus Tannos who stumbled upon the alleged corruption case in the procurement of Electronic Identity Cards (e-KTP). He is currently in Singapore.
Furthermore, former candidate Harun Masiku is also still at large. The suspect who gave bribes to former General Elections Commission (KPU) Commissioner Wahyu Setiawan is still unknown.
