Vice President Optimistic U-17 World Cup In Indonesia Smoothly Even Though Held During The 2024 Election Stage
JAKARTA - Vice President (Vice President) Ma'ruf Amin believes that the U-17 World Cup event in the country will run well even though it takes place in the midst of the implementation of the election stages.
"If the election is carried out properly, understanding with each other, and there is no conflict, I think the competition (U-17) will go well," said the Vice President on the sidelines of a working visit in Kebumen, Central Java, Monday, June 26, which was confiscated by Antara.
As is known, the International Football Federation or the FEudration Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has officially appointed Indonesia as the host of the 2023 U-17 World Cup.
The holding of the prestigious football event is scheduled to be held from November 10 to December 2, 2023, along with the implementation of the election stages.
According to the Vice President, the implementation of the U-17 and the implementation of the election stages can run well with the participation and cooperation between all relevant parties.
"We hope that our election atmosphere will be conducive," said the Vice President.
The vice president requested that election preparations not hinder Indonesia, which has a great opportunity to show its ferocity in the international football arena.
"It is better not to hinder our various activities, including economic activities, social activities, and also activities when we become organizers of large competitions," hoped the Vice President.

On the same occasion, the Vice President also requested that the moment when Indonesia hosted the U-17 be carefully prepared so that it would get optimal results, including in terms of security.
"We must be able to carry it out well, prepare carefully so that the implementation is good. And then also in terms of security must be guaranteed," he said.
The vice president also hopes that the Indonesian contingent can achieve achievements in the international football event.
