KENDARI - The Provincial National Narcotics Agency or BNNP Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) destroyed 1.5 kilograms of drug evidence and 409 grams of cross-regional methamphetamine. Head of the Narcotics Eradication Division of the Southeast Sulawesi BNNP AKBP Muhammad Santoso in Kendari, Monday said that the destruction of the evidence was a disclosure of the case from 2022 to June 2023. He stated that the destruction was also a series of commemorations of the International Anti-Drug Day (HANI) in 2023. "Disclosure of evidence of marijuana and methamphetamine-type narcotics resulting from the disclosure of the circulation of marijuana and crystal methamphetamine-type narcotics in 2022 and 2023," said Santoso at the Southeast Sulawesi BNNP Office, Kendari City, quoted by ANTARA, Monday 26 June. He stated that the average disclosure used the delivery (received) control method which was carried out together with Customs and Excise in the period 2022 to 2023. "This was revealed because of the cooperation between the Southeast Sulawesi BNNP with shipping and Customs expeditions. So, this is what we destroyed from the evidence using the modes of the perpetrators using shipping services," said Santoso. He revealed that the destroyed evidence was in the form of a clear plastic package, leaves and stem containing marijuana-type narcotics weighing 1.5 kilograms, four clear plastic packages containing white crystals allegedly methamphetamine. He revealed that currently his party was investigating deeper the perpetrators of the destroyed evidence owner. This is because, the perpetrators tricked the officers by sending the evidence to a fictitious address. "This uses false identities and addresses, which until now we are still developing to reveal these perpetrators," he explained.
