The Certificate Of 2 High School Students Was Detained From School In Lampung Because Of Arrears Of IDR 7 Million

LAMPUNG BANDAR - Lampung Province Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud) appealed to schools not to detain students' diplomas.

"The detention of the diploma that occurred yesterday has been completed, and the two high school students (SMA) have received their diplomas," said Head of the Lampung Province Education and Culture Office, Sulpakar, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 23.

To prevent the detention of diplomas such as what happened at SMAN 5 Bandar Lampung some time ago, his party has issued an appeal to all schools.

"To prevent schools from detaining diplomas, yesterday a letter was issued instructing schools to immediately give diplomas to their students," he said.

Furthermore, schools must also make an inventory of diplomas that have not been taken by their students so that they can be given immediately.

"As well as for those who are unable to be given immediately, they are free of charge, because yesterday's problem was the problem of arrears in committee money," he said.

He explained that students who are categorized as unable at the beginning of admission, new students can attach information that is not able to, so they can get payment relief.

"This committee money is actually given to finance one of the honorary teachers in schools, but to determine the nominal, everything must be agreed through a committee meeting during re-registration," he said.

According to him, underprivileged students can be done a cross subsidy system, after submitting a certificate of incapacity.

"Those who cannot afford can be financed from regional school operational assistance (BOSDA), because the family's financial condition can change and we want students to continue to get their education well," he said again.

Previously, there was a detention of a diploma belonging to two high school students by the school, due to arrears in payment of committee money of Rp. 7 million. Now the two students have obtained their diplomas after mediation.
