DKI Regional Secretary Affirms Formula E Continues To Run With Business Scheme
JAKARTA - Regional Secretary of DKI Jakarta Province Joko Agus Setyono emphasized that the implementation of the Formula E electric car race was carried out with a business to business (B2B) scheme between PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) and Formula E.
"We as local governments invite their business to continue, so that Formula E activities can still be carried out in the city of Jakarta with the B2B mechanism between BUMD belonging to the DKI Provincial Government, namely Jakpro and Formula E," said DKI Jakarta Provincial Secretary Joko Agus Setyono as reported by ANTARA, Monday, May 15.
He explained that the B2B scheme was in accordance with what was conveyed by the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI) during an audience with the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono last March.
Joko Agus Setyono said that as a local government that has the authority to manage the City of Jakarta, the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta supports this activity by granting permission to implement Formula E to be carried out in the Jakarta area.
Formula E car racing activities will be held in June 2023 at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC), Ancol, North Jakarta.
Currently, Jakpro is making various preparations. Ticket sales have been open some time ago.
In accordance with the direction of President Joko Widodo and Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono, the implementation of Formula E does not use a budget from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) or the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD), but rather with a B2B scheme such as sports tourism (sport tourism).
