KPU Receives Registration Files For DPR Candidates From Hanura
The General Elections Commission (KPU) received a registration file for prospective legislative candidates for the DPR in the 2024 General Election from the Hanura Party.
The file was received directly by KPU Chairman Hasyim Asy'ari from the General Chairperson (Ketum) of the Hanura Party, Oesman Sapta Odang, or familiarly called Oso.
"Today, Wednesday, May 10, 2023, the 10th day during the registration period for prospective candidates for DPR members, provincial DPRDs, and district and city DPRDs, has been here the leadership of the Hanura Party to submit registration documents for members of the DPR RI. After the technical team checks the registration file, continued Hasyim, the KPU will notify the completeness of the registration file for the DPR legislative candidate from the Hanura Party.
"Technically, later the official team (naramamping) from the Hanura Party will communicate, coordinate with the registration technical team from the KPU, so that in this stage there will be only one category, complete or incomplete," he added.
Meanwhile, Oso said that he came with nine leaders of the Hanura Party to the KPU office, Jakarta, to register 580 candidates for the DPR.
"We came today with the core management as determined by the KPU, which is 10 people, with our intention of officially registering 580 candidates," said Oso.
As of Wednesday, since the registration of the DPR candidates was opened on Monday (1/5), there are two political parties that have registered candidates for the DPR, namely the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) and the Hanura Party.
PKS registered the DPR candidate to the KPU Office, Jakarta, Monday (8/5), and was received directly by Hasyim from PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu in the Main Session Room.

Registration for the DPR candidate at the KPU Office will still take place until Sunday (14/5) at 23.59 WIB. The KPU has appealed to all political parties at the national level who are participants in the 2024 General Election to submit a notification letter no later than one day before registration is carried out.
According to KPU member Idham Holik, the notification was intended so that the KPU could provide the best service when political party officials registered for legislative candidates.
