Mahfud MD Make Sure All Security Lines Of The ASEAN Summit Are Good

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD ensured that security for the ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) was good in all lines.

"First, from the technical security of the ASEAN Summit. For security, everything has been going well so far. Whether it's land preparation, intelligence preparation, and others," said Mahfud while visiting the Warship of the Republic of Indonesia (KRI) dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo in Labuan Bajo, NTT, Monday 8 May, confiscated by Antara.

As is known, at the chairmanship this time Indonesia raised the theme ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of Growth which means ASEAN is relevant and important as a center of world growth.

Indonesia aims to strengthen the capacity and effectiveness of ASEAN institutions so that it can answer the challenges for the next 20 years.

On this occasion, Mahfud appreciated the existence of KRI dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo as a hospital aid ship (KBRS) that will carry out medical treatment, if there are Summit participants or sick security personnel.

"Mitigation and anticipation that there is a problem with health that requires doctors, at Wahidin Hospital, all sophisticated digital equipment is prepared, and 11 specialist doctors," said Mahfud.

KRI dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo provides 11 specialist doctors, 28 nurses, one laboratory analyst, 156 treatment room beds, three ICU beds, and two "high care units"/HCU beds.

In addition, four rooms of sterile operations, one room for non-sterile operations, one pharmacy and a pharmacy warehouse, one "mobile hyperbaric chamber", two "boat" ambulances, and outpatient clinics.

For information, Indonesia will take office as Chair of ASEAN in 2023 after previously receiving a leadership "stick" from Cambodia, where the 42nd ASEAN Summit will be held in Labuan Bajo, NTT from 9 to 11 May 2023.
