Fourth Wave Of Repatriation: 100 Indonesian Citizens Evacuated From Sudan Arriving In Jakarta
A total of 100 Indonesian citizens (WNI) who were evacuated from Sudan arrived safely in the country in the fourth wave of repatriation on Tuesday.
"The return of phase IV (2/5), 100 Indonesian citizens from Sudan arrived in Jakarta. A total of 929 Indonesian citizens have returned to their homeland," wrote the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its Twitter account, as quoted Tuesday, May 2.
Confirmed this matter, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Teuku Faizasyah confirmed the news of the arrival.
"Alhamdulillah, additional flights have arrived at Cengkareng (Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, ed). All evacuaes are in good health. Currently, they are in the process of being transported to the Hajj Dormitory. Here is the information I just received," wrote Teuku Faizasyah via text message to VOI.
As previously reported, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said 100 Indonesian citizens who were evacuated from Sudan will arrive today using Garuda Indonesia flights.
"The fourth phase of the return is scheduled to arrive in Jakarta on May 2 with Garuda Indonesia, the plan is as many as 100 evacuaes," said Foreign Minister Retno.

Foreign Minister Retno said that to this day 949 Indonesian citizens have been evacuated from Sudan.
"In detail, 930 people were evacuated via Jeddah, 13 people were evacuated via Egypt and six people were evacuated via the United Arab Emirates (UAE)," said Foreign Minister Retno.
Prior to today's arrival, the number of Indonesian citizens who were successfully repatriated to the country was 829 people, all through Jeddah, Saudi Arabia which were divided into three stages.
