Ustaz Salman's New Album In Sandiaga Uno's Eyes
JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno appreciated the new album by Ustaz Salman Abdul Hamid's collaboration, which was considered capable of echoing the values of Qurani's entrepreneurs through music arts.
"That way, it is hoped that these values will potentially contribute to the creation of 4.4 million new jobs," said Sandiaga at the launch of the album.
"I congratulate Ustaz Salman who launched the album 'Jerenih'," Sandiaga said as quoted by Antara, Friday.
Sandiaga appreciated the method chosen to preach through music, which he considered effective.
"And as we all know, Islam also uses music to spread its da'wah and this is a very effective forum in voicing amar ma'ruf nahi munkar," Sandiaga added.
The creative economy sector, especially music, is currently showing good growth. Despite being hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, musicians are still actively producing a series of works through technological adaptation.
The growth of music sub-sectors reached 3.94 percent in 2021. Until now, according to data from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, the employment opportunities created by the music industry are quite extraordinary.
For example, in the DKI Jakarta area alone, there are almost 71 thousand jobs related to the music industry.
"This music sub-sector will continue to color and become the locomotive of our economic revival," said Sandiaga.

"Jereh" is expected to help clear the hearts of humans and spread the benefits of those who hear it. Through this work, Ustad Salman wants to continue the tradition of da'wah nusantara through music or films and other works of art.
