Explaining The Income Value Of PT LIB From Liga 1 Competition, Save Our Soccer Support PSSI Clean Up Indonesian Football
JAKARTA - Save Our Soccer #SOS revealed the funds that entered PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) from the Liga 1 competition. They claimed that PT LIB received funds of around Rp370 billion which were obtained from sponsorships and broadcasting rights.
In detail, Rp220 billion from the broadcasting rights held by the Emtek Group and Rp150 billion from BUMN sponsor, BRI.
If each club only gets Rp5.5 billion as a subsidy, it means that the funds that come out of PT LIB's cash are only Rp99 billion. This means that there is still Rp270 billion.
The question arises, why PT LIB did not give prize money to the 2022/2023 Liga 1 champion. In addition, recently there were allegations that match equipment honorariums were also in arrears of up to Rp. 1.62 billion.
"LIB must transparently open its financial statements to shareholders. Wherever the League 1 sponsorship money is used. And, there must be legal steps if there is embezzlement. This is for the sake of healthy, professional and dignified Indonesian football," said Save Our Soccer Coordinator, Akmal Marhali, in an official statement. he wrote to the media, Thursday, April 27.
Akmal then gave his support to Erick Thohir auditing PSSI and PT LIB's finances by involving well-known firm Ernst & Young.
"Hopefully the audit conducted can open the ulcers of Indonesian football. If the pain is already stage 4 and must be amputated, the PSSI management must dare to do it. This is for the good of Indonesian football," said Akmal.
Save Our Soccer then hopes that the audit will be carried out transparently. According to Akmal, PSSI is a public institution that must be open about finances based on the Public Information Commission (KIP).
He then imitated the Singapore Football Federation (FAS) which opened their financial statements on federation sites to be known to the public.
