Ministry Of PUPR: IKN Nusantara Development Involving Local Contractors
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) affirms the construction of the new State Capital or IKN Indonesia named Nusantara in parts of Penajam Paser Utara Regency and Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan, involving contractors or local construction companies. The construction of a new Indonesian IKN, explained PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono in a written press statement in Penajam, Thursday 27 April, will continue to involve local business actors and contractors. State-Owned Enterprises or BUMN as leaders of new IKN development operations, but continue to form partnerships with contractors and local business actors. The cooperation or partnerships established by BUMN with contractors and local business actors can be seen from the use of heavy vehicles for the construction of new IKN Indonesia, all Mili entrepreneurs in East Kalimantan Province. "BUMN involved in IKN development cooperates with business actors and local construction companies as sub-contractors," he said, quoted from Antara. "There remains KSO (operational cooperation) between BUMN and private sectors, and it can be seen that the trucks and other vehicles involved in IKN development all use KT (East Kalimantan) vehicle number plates," he added. In the construction of the new Indonesian IKN, BUMN also established small-scale partnerships with local business actors such as for the fulfillment of logistics and food for construction workers. Local micro, small and medium enterprises in East Kalimantan are given the opportunity to provide logistics and food needs for new Indonesian IKN infrastructure development workers.

The involvement of business actors and local contractors in the construction of the new Indonesian IKN will create new jobs as well as improve welfare. The development of the new Indonesian IKN in parts of North Penajam Paser Regency and Kutai Kartanegara Regency, said Basuki Hadimuljono, will provide benefits to the economy in East Kalimantan Province.
