PGN Socializes Gas Fuel Conversion To Ojol Drivers
PT PGN Tbk, as the Gas Subholding of PT Pertamina (Persero), through its subsidiary PT Gagas Energi Indonesia, held a socialization of gas fuel conversion (BBG) for motorcycles to online motorcycle taxi drivers (online).
President Director of Gagas Muhammad Hardiansyah said the socialization, which was attended by 42 online motorcycle taxi drivers, was part of the implementation of a pilot project for converting BBG for motorcycles.
"In this pilot project, motorcycle taxi partners can directly feel the benefits of BBG motorbikes with a dual fuel system, namely fuel and BBG. It is hoped that 'online' motorcycle taxi partners can be an example for users in spreading information word of mouth regarding the conversion of motorbikes from fuel to BBG," he said in a statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Thursday, April 6.
In the socialization, Gagas showed directly that the motors that had been converted were using BBG.
Motor BBG or gas motors (mogas) are more flexible because they do not need to buy new vehicles and can still use fuel.
In addition, it does not reduce fuel capacity, because the gas increases cylinders for BBG, so it can increase travel distance and cost efficiency.
With a dual fuel system, the gas is equipped with a device such as a converter kit and a switch on the motorcycle handlebar to enable or disable the use of BBG.
"The use of the gas can save two times the cost because the price is IDR 4,500 per liter equivalent to Pertalite (LSP) and the performance is stable wherever the filling is," Hardiansyah explained.
The tube made from a seamless steel pipe with a resistance of up to 20 years has a capacity of 1.25 liters of gas and an international standard ISO 11439.
"This BPG is low in emissions to make the engine clean and does not smell pungent. Tips are safe to drive with dual fuel, if you hear a loud sound and smell gas, immediately turn off the engine and call the call center at 135," he added.
Hardiansyah said the BBG motorcycle pilot project will be carried out in Jakarta and Semarang. During the pilot project period, participants can fill the gas for free at the PGN Central Office SPBG, Klender, Pondok Ungu and MRU Grogol.
Meanwhile, other SPBGs in Jakarta are Youth, Gandaria (Jl Bogor), Daan Mogot, Ragunan, MS Cibubur, Cililitan, Pulogadung, Pinang Ranti and Perintis Kemerdekaan. Furthermore, there are Citeureup, Bogor (MA Salman), Karawang, OL Lematabang, Depok (Tole Iskandar), Citeureup, and Margonda Ecostation.
One of the online motorcycle taxi partners who attended the socialization, asked for the capacity of the gas cylinder to be increased.
He also said that the price efficiency obtained would be saved and allocated for children's education costs.
"We invite our friends from 'online' motorcycle taxi partners to support the government's program to reduce fuel subsidies and achieve reducing carbon emissions," said Hardiansyah.
