Viral On Social Media Until It Was Caught By The Acting Governor, Finally The RT Management In Kapuk Revoked A Letter Asking For THR From Residents

JAKARTA - The management of RT 009 RW 016 Kapuk Village, Cengkareng District, West Jakarta canceled a letter requesting holiday allowances (THR) to residents.

This was done after it went viral on social media until it was discovered by the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono. The cancellation of THR requests to residents was confirmed by Cengkareng sub-district head Ahmad Farih.

"They (the management of RT 009 RW 016) are ready to revoke the circular today," said Farih in a short message, Thursday, April 6.

Farih revealed that there were actually no detailed rules prohibiting RT officials from asking residents for THR rations. However, there are ethical aspects that must be maintained by them.

Therefore, continued Farih, the RT administrators in Kapuk only received warnings and guidance not to do this in the future.

"This has been trained by the village head," said Farih.

On social media Twitter, a letter issued by the management of RT 009 RW 016 Kapuk Village circulated to its citizens. In the letter, the RT management asked residents to give THR Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijriah.

The letter stated that the THR will be given to RT administrators, security officers, cleaning staff, dasawisma members, as well as to ZIS (zakat, infaq, and alms) kelurahan.

The amount of THR charged to residents has also been determined by the RT management. Among them, residents who live in home industry Rp300 thousand, stalls Rp150 thousand, rents Rp200 thousand, and houses only Rp60 thousand.

THR money to be withdrawn from residents will be carried out on April 2, 9, and 16, 2023. The RT management provided information that the THR could be paid in installments for 3 withdrawals.

The THR request for this resident is known to the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono. The first step, Heru will ask for an explanation from the Head of Kapuk Village regarding the letter.

Heru has not disclosed what action the DKI Provincial Government will take to the RT management asking for THR. What is clear is that Heru will ask his staff to solve the problem.

"The Mayor (West Jakarta City), the sub-district head, the village head, I ordered (to follow up). "I'll call the village head later," he explained.
