Recon And Wagoneer S, Two Jeep Electric Vehicles For 2024

Jakarta - When these two cars were showcased last month at the Stellantis dealer meeting, the Recon and Wagoneer S were greeted enthusiastically by Jeep fans.

According to an Inside EV report on Monday, April 3, 2023, several Jeep dealers in the United States have shared photos of the two new electric SUVs on social media. Las Vegas dealer co-owner Josh Towbin even intends to sell the Jeep back after seeing the Recon and Wagoneer S. "I was very impressed when I saw the Jeep Recon. I felt great interest in this car. I thought this car would be very popular," Towbin said.

The same thing was expressed by Josh Douglas, General Manager of Lee Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep-Ram in Westbrook, Maine, who said that the Recon retains the hallmarks of Jeep in appearance.

In terms of design, the Jeep Recon adopts the Wrangler design with square headlamps and a small but long grille, and the lower part of the bumper is raised. However, this car still has the aura of exploring, especially when paired with off-road tires.

Meanwhile, Wagoneer S carries a modern SUV design that is more suitable for driving in urban areas, although this car can also drive on off-road tracks. Wagoneer S is suitable to be the successor to the Cherokee with a similar design and narrower headlamps with an elongated grille.

Jeep has yet to reveal any official specifications about the Recon. However, it is likely that this car will carry an all-wheel drive system (AWD). As for the Wagoneer S, this car is claimed to be capable of dissipating power of 600 hp with a dual-motorized AWD system that can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. Jeep also says that this SUV can travel up to 643 km.
