Golkar Reveals Discourse On The Great Coalition Of KIB-KIR Will Meet Again To Discuss Leadership

JAKARTA - General Chairperson (Ketum) of the Golkar Party Airlangga Hartarto is optimistic that the discourse of a major coalition of the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) and the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KIR) will enter the next stage.

Airlangga said the meeting of the discourse on a major coalition that will be attended by KIB and KIR members will then discuss leadership issues.

"Yesterday's big coalition we met in a friendly manner, we discussed the foundation. Regarding his leadership, in the following chapter," said Airlangga at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday, April 4, as reported by Antara.

Airlangga added that the grand coalition opens up opportunities for political parties who want to join.

"But, we are also opening up to parties who want to join this grand coalition," he added.

Previously, five parties from KIB and KIR were present at the Ramadan Gathering with President Jokowi at the PAN Jakarta DPP Office on Sunday, April 2.

The party elite who attended the General Chair of the Golkar Party as well as the Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto; Plt. General Chairperson of PPP as well as the Presidential Special Envoy for Poverty and Food Security Cooperation, Mardiono; General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party as well as Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto; and the host of the General Chairperson of PAN as well as Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan.

During the event, PKB General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar was also present.

According to Airlangga, the conversation with political party leaders at the Ramadan Gathering was quite fluid.

"Of course, between the leaders of these five parties we are quite fluid and we will continue to communicate intensely so that this coalition can continue to find its shape," said Airlangga.
