Ex-PJLP Over 56 Years Of Demanding His Family To Be Hired, DKI Provincial Government Asks To Be Patient

JAKARTA - A number of former employees of other individual service providers (PJLP) UPK DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Water Agency over 56 years old are demanding certainty about their family members who will be employed to change their positions.

The work contract of hundreds of PJLP was terminated by the DKI Provincial Government because of the new age limit of a maximum of 56 years. Because they can no longer work, PJLP is facilitated by the DKI Provincial Government to be able to apply for family members to replace their positions. They also demanded the promise of the DKI Provincial Government.

Responding to this, the Head of the DKI Jakarta Environmental Agency, Asep Kuswanto, confirmed that his party facilitated former PJLP family members to work at the Water Agency's UPK. However, Asep said that the PJLP recruitment process with a work contract in 2023 was already underway.

"We can't then immediately accept everything, because in 2023 we have received it," Asep said when met at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building, Monday, March 20.

Asep said that the request for replacement of employee positions for former PJLP family members was revealed after the contract process was carried out at the end of 2022. Thus, the vacant position has been filled by other people.

Therefore, Asep asked them to be patient waiting for other available PJLP positions.

"So, even if it is replaced by a family member who is of productive age, it will continue to follow existing procedures and continue to wait for PJLP, some may resign, some may die, and so on," explained Asep.

For information, the problem began when the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono issued Governor's Decree (Kepgub) Number 1095 of 2022 concerning Guidelines for Controlling the Use of Individual Other Service Providers (PJLP).

In the Governor's Decree, there are rules that the PJLP age limit that can be employed by the DKI Provincial Government is a maximum of 56 years. As a result, there are hundreds of 56-year-old PJLP whose work contracts have been terminated.

The former PJLP is over 56 years old in protest because previously it had never received any socialization regarding the boundaries of the regulation. They asked the DKI Provincial Government to find a solution. Therefore, the DKI Provincial Government provides a kind of compensation for PJLP whose contract was terminated, namely being able to apply for one of its family members to replace his position.
