Dragged 20 Meters, Cyclist Dies After Being Hit By Corolla Altis In Bintaro

TANGERANG - A woman cyclist with the initials YB died after being hit by a Toyota Corolla Altis driven by SP at Villa Bintaro Regency, Sumatra Street, Pondok Aren, South Tangerang.

The head of the Traffic Unit of the South Tangerang Police IPDA Justinus Yunus Kaurmin confirmed the incident. The incident occurred on Thursday, March 16, morning.

"The Toyota Corolla Altis lost control and then hit the bicycle driven by YB which was in front of it and was dragged for approximately 20 meters," Yunus said when confirmed, Thursday, March 16.

After being dragged 20 meters the car stopped because it hit a pole at the scene.

"As a result of the traffic accident, cyclist YB suffered a head injury, and was subsequently taken to Bintaro Hospital. But unfortunately, her life was not helped or died.

"After receiving medical assistance, sister YB died at RSPI Bintaro," he concluded.
