Prevent Road Damage, Ganjar Will Prepare Portable Weigh Equipment On The Solo-Purwodadi Line

Central Java (Central Java) Governor Ganjar Pranowo will prepare portable weighing equipment to prevent trucks from overloading or ODOL in the Solo-Purwodadi Road area.

Ganjar said the effort was made considering that the ODOL truck was one of the triggers for road damage.

This was conveyed by Ganjar when he directly checked the repair of the Solo-Purwodadi Road, Sragen, Central Java, Monday, March 13.

"Almost all transportation passing through here is ODOL, so I will ask for random checks to be carried out by making a portable weight bridge for us to check here," he said.

Ganjar said that the handling of damaged roads at the provincial level requires the support of all parties because this road is crossed by many trucks that are loaded exceeding capacity.

"So we ask the police and the Ministry of Transportation for help so that ODOL is resolved," he said.

In addition to the support of the Ministry of Transportation and the police for prosecution, Ganjar asked for public support to pay attention to this matter.

"The capacity of the truck, which is about 5 tons, carries 12 tons, so it has exceeded and must be damaging. Yes, destroying the truck is destroying the road. So we need community support, otherwise it will be damaged quickly," he said.

The former member of the DPR RI hopes that budgeting for road infrastructure can be completed so that the current damaged roads can be repaired immediately, including evaluating beautiful road applications so that their functions are more optimal.

"The beautiful road application must be evaluated, including road guards, yes indeed after COVID-19 yesterday we were a bit disturbed from the budgeting side, so now we are optimizing it again because now it is starting to get busy normally we are preparing a musrenbang with budgeting," he said.
