Just Finished Serving An 8-Year Prison Sentence, A Man In Serang Selling Drugs Again
SERANG – Once rewarded with 8 years in prison in a drug case, did not make YN (40) stop dealing drugs. YN admitted that it was difficult for him to get a job, and he was tempted by the big profits from selling drugs. But now he's caught again.
However, after only a month of returning to his illegal business, the recidivist who lives in Ranjeng Village, Ciruas District, Serang Regency was caught again.
YN was again arrested by personnel from the Serang Police Narcotics Investigation Unit (Satresnarkoba).
The suspect YN was arrested at his rented house in the Pasir Indah Complex, Serang District, Serang City, Monday, February 20 evening. From inside the rented house, 4 packs of methamphetamine weighing 114 grams were secured.
Kapolres Serang AKBP Yudha Satria explained that YN's arrest began with information from the public who suspected drug trafficking in the rented house.
"Initially from reports from the public because there was suspicious activity in the rented house," explained the Police Chief accompanied by Head of Narcotics Unit AKP Michael K Tandayu, Friday, February 24.
Armed with this information, the Narcotics Satres Team led by Ipda Rian Jaya Surana then moved to deepen the information. Monday, February 20 at around 18.00 WIB, the Narcotics Satres Team conducted an ambush.

"The suspect YN was successfully secured in his rented house. During the search, 2 large and 2 small plastic clips containing methamphetamine were found in the wardrobe," said Yudha.
Based on the findings of the evidence, YN was secured at the Serang Police Station for examination. From the examination, it was found that methamphetamine weighing more than 1 ounce was entrusted by RA (DPO) to be traded.
"This illegal business has been going on for one month. From 200 grams of methamphetamine sold, the suspect gets a profit of IDR 20 million," he explained.
YN reasoned, the profit of selling methamphetamine is to make ends meet.
"The methamphetamine that was secured was entrusted by R to be traded. The wages from selling methamphetamine were used for daily needs," he admitted.
