Code Red For The Red Liverpool

JAKARTA - Many people may have underestimated the magnitude of Liverpool's problem. Unfortunately, so does the club's owner and manager, Jurgen Klopp.

Klopp, the figure of a brilliant football manager, is increasingly looking like someone who is running out of answers. Klopp is at a loss to explain how his team got off to such a miserable start against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Liverpool is now in 10th place in the English Premier League standings with only eight wins from 20 matches. The other five matches ended in draws, while the rest ended in defeats.

Not since 2011 under Roy Hodgson have Liverpool looked like this. It takes something extraordinary to get the club back into shape.

You can understand why Klopp was confused his team lost so easily to Wolves. In that match, Liverpool conceded two goals in the first 12 minutes.

Klopp can be said to be in a difficult time right now. Not because of the curse of the 7th season as felt like the previous club.

The man from Germany was faced with a storm of injuries to his players. There were six players who could not appear against Wolves due to undergoing treatment.

It was the same in the previous matches. Klopp was unable to present the best squad due to limited human resources.

When he needed new energy, Klopp did not get support from the owner. He was not given large amounts of money to buy players. In January, the Reds only brought in Cody Gakpo.

In fact, Liverpool's problems are not only on the front lines. If you look at Liverpool's last three away defeats in the English Premier League, there is something that needs to be improved in other sectors, namely the defense.

If you look at the journey this season, they have conceded more goals than 26 goals last season.

On Saturday, Liverpool was in disarray from the start and could have conceded twice even before Joel Matip's own goal in the fifth minute.

Liverpool's next series of fixtures has the potential to be a disaster. In the next seven days, they will face a number of matches that are no less hot.

Starting with the Merseyside derby against Everton, then traveling to Newcastle United and closing with an away game against Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Klopp, at the very least, needs all of his injured players back. Although that may not be enough.
